Microcross GX-Linux™ for Freescale i.MX21 LiteKit

ATLANTA, GA  --  November 25, 2005 -- Microcross, Inc. releases a GX-Linux™ platform for the Freescale i.MX21 LiteKit that starts shipping on 29 November from Freescale Dev Tool Direct. The i.MX21 target processor runs at 266 MHz and is designed for low-power, low-cost, high performance products for multimedia applications, including portable devices such as cell phones, digital cameras, MP3 players, medical devices, kiosks, etc.

The GX-Linux™ Professional Platform comprises the following components:

• Visual X-Tools™ IDE
• GNU X-Tools™ ARM Linux/ELF toolsuites with Visual GDB and GDB Server
• Linux v2.6.12 kernel and BSP with MMU support
• Small Footprint uClibc shared and static C library for embedded development
• ROM, USB (pendrive) or remote NFS Filesystem
• BusyBox v1.0 utilities
• Linux Drivers
• Serial I/O
• SD / MMC
